Weekends are an odd time to release new music but when it’s a Thai-gaze team up between excellent newcomers Slowwves and Bangkok elder statesmen Death Of Heather, I’ll allow it. On Saturday, the former released “Evangeline”, a slow-burning epic of a single with a “featuring” as the kids credit it from the latter, specifically DOH vocalist Tay stepping in for vox on the third verse and blending well with Slowwves’ Jill on the outro chorus.

Guest spots like this are common in other genres, but not seemingly so much in shoegaze so it’s a pretty cool release and continues Slowwves winning streak of excellent singles since their debut. They promise they’re hard at work on a full-length so until that arrives,
