Terrific news/non-news at the end of last week that Electrelane – who went on hiatus in 2007 after a few albums of critically-acclaimed but generally underappreciated post-punk in the early part of the aughts – were in the early stages of writing new material for the first time in a decade and a half:
I call it “non-news” because there’s a long distance between jamming in a living room and actually releasing new music or playing more shows, but it’s a welcome start. Maybe at the very least, Electrelane as an ongoing concern can get some of their records back in print?
