After years of online neglect, The House Of Love have been doing a fine job of making themselves available, if not well-known, to the internet. Besides getting all their albums added to streaming services over the last while, they’ve been putting their videos on the YouTube… even the ones that seem to have been shot by putting a camcorder on a slowly spinning lazy susan while the band clearly plays anything but the song in question – that’d be “Destroy The Heart”, their second single from the now-classic 1988 self-titled debut, aka Creation – all the while neglecting to account for a lighting budget. It sounds awful but is actually kind of brilliant in a “Bastards Of Young” kind of way.
