After well over a decade of well-earned retirement, Siouxsie Sioux has announced her return to the stage this year with a smattering of shows in Europe and the US, her first live appearances since participating in Yoko Ono’s Meltdown fest in 2013.

Her last proper tour was in support of her first – and last, so far – solo record Mantaray, released in 2007 and set for a limited edition reissue this May. The final show of that circuit was in September 2008 at London’s KOKO, and it was recorded and released on DVD in 2009 as the very final-sounding Finale: The Last Mantaray & More Show which is available to stream on YouTube.

With a set list covering everything from the Banshees through the Creatures, it would have been a fine career cap but is seems Siouxsie has more to give. Time will tell whether Sioux is starting a new chapter or just returning for an encore, but those who are fortunate enough to be in the audience for one of these shows should count themselves very lucky.
