Deary have been canny enough about the timing of their new releases that I don’t think, “oh I just posted them a couple weeks ago” – it’s been over a month since they unveiled their last new single “The Moth” so I’m totally fine with shining the spotlight on the follow up, “Selene”.
Of the new track, guitarist/vocalist Dottie says:

“Selene is associated with the moon and re-birth. Our new material is all about transition and metamorphosis. I have a desire to return to a part of myself that I’ve lost or to discover the one buried deep under anxiety and shame. I look to Selene to guide the way.
There’s definitely a thread connecting the new songs, both musically and in the visuals (the artwork, video) so should we expect a full-length album in this vein before the end of the year? Remember their self-title last year was just an EP – their official debut is yet to come.
