If you thought you’d somehow missed out on Daughter’s tour to support last year’s Stereo Mind Game, don’t fret – you didn’t. Aside from a single in-store performance at London’s Rough Trade last year to mark the album’s release, the trio haven’t played a live show since November 2017. And while disappointing for fans, it’s an entirely reasonable choice for a multitude of reasons – disease, finances, general weariness, take your pick.
But mindful of the fact that the new songs have basically never been performed live, the band has marked the one-year anniversary of the record with a special video session recorded at the same studio where they tracked the record, performing seven Stereo Mind Games songs. There’s no hint that there’ll be any live dates to follow, so best enjoy this.
And if you wanted to watch the aforementioned Rough Trade gig as well, you can.
