Minneapolis’ She’s Green had themselves quite a 2025, going from secret darlings of /r/shoegaze to international touring concern – they just landed in China today – but surely the highlight of the year was landing themselves on my year-end list with their slightly confusing but undisputedly wonderful releases, the physical issue of Wisteria and new EP Chrysalis.

But also high up on their highlight list must be recording a session for Seattle radio station KEXP last Fall, the footage of which just made it online last week. The four-song set includes two Chrysalis songs, live set mainstay “Mandy” from Wisteria, and excitingly a new song – “Mettle” – from a new batch of recordings already in the can which brings the fuzz to their soaring shoegaze. And in addition to the video footage, there’s a Flickr photo gallery of shots taken from their set, including one of the guitarists’ pedalboards, if you’re the type who likes to gawk at such.
