Broadcast‘s retro-futurism always seemed a little out of step with the times, but it’s also those qualities that have made them timeless. Any time I revisit their stuff – which I don’t do enough – I’m struck by just how unique they were, different from record to record but always themselves. Trish Keenan’s passing eleven years ago remains a tremendous loss for music.

This track opened their 2000 Extended Play EP, which was released a month before their debut The Noise Made By People, on which it also appeared. It’s so good and the video just perfect.
