Every now and again, I’ll be reminded how much I loved Mojave 3 – as much as Slowdive, probably – and while this particular episode probably won’t be a full deep dive rabbit hole, it has yielded a video from 2000’s Excuses For Travelers that I’ve never seen. It’s studio footage interspersed with handycam footage of the band wandering New York, probably on the Out Of Tune tour, and goodness does this take me back some 25 years. I’m pretty much over the whole “buying albums I have perfectly good CD copies of on vinyl again”, but if/when the long-rumoured reissues of the M3 catalog on wax happens, I’ll be first in line. Actually no, some insane millennial will probably be first. I’ll be a little ways back.
