In those golden days of last Fall when the pandemic seemed to have eased up enough to allow bands to perform audience-less club shows for online consumption, a bunch of up-and-coming Toronto acts recorded a series of covers sets at the Monarch Tavern as Class Of T.O.

One of those was up-and-coming psychedelic outfit Mother Tongues paying tribute to the singular British outfit Broadcast with their faithful takes on selections from across their catalog. I’m sure the band would have preferred to be performing cuts from their debut EP Everything You Wanted, which was released a little before they recorded this session, but things don’t always go as planned. That said, the EP is also great and worth a listen.
