Not much time or energy these days for, well, anything, but with this year’s edition of Next Music From Tokyo kicking off tonight at The Horseshoe here in Toronto, here’s a video – maybe the band’s first? – by the ostensible headliners of the fest, Hammer Head Shark. “Echo” is the opening track of their 2020 debut EP Slow Scape, and as a first statement about what they’re about – youth, yearning, angst, noise – it’s hard to beat.
