Their contributions to the first volume of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage back in February confirmed that contrary to expectations, fka Chromatics – Ruth Radelet, Adam Miller, and Nat Walker – were just as good without Johnny Jewel as they were with. Now, with the release of the second part of the game, denoted “Tape 2”, there’s a second volume of the soundtrack. It includes two more new songs from the trio – “Without A Trace” and “The Veil” – as well as instrumental versions of the two vocal-led songs from volume one, “Dreamers” and “The Wild Unknown”, along with the new ones.
“The Veil” arrived with a gorgeous, authentically analog video and Radelet announced it with the following message:
“The Veil” music video is out today! “The Veil” is the most emotional of all the songs @adamcharlesmiller, @nat.walker.music and I created for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (@playlostrecords), and my personal favorite. Referencing the dreamy and nostalgic mood of the game, we shot the video primarily on 8mm film, and sprinkled in some hi-8 footage as a nod to Swann and her famous camcorder. “The Veil” was filmed entirely in Idyllwild, CA – a magical place that feels very much like the fictional town of Velvet Cove.

Radelet also just posted a series of behind-the-scenes clips from the shoot on her Instagram:
Preorders for the vinyl edition of the soundtrack are now up, with delivery slated for June.
