The dearth of good quality live Cocteau Twins material – and I’m talking audio, never mind video which sadly just doesn’t exist – is a real shame, so when something like this complete soundboard recording from a Tokyo show circa Treasure surfaces, well, you share it.

The recording comes courtesy of Moose bassist Lincoln Fong, who ran front of house sound for the band and who notes:

Cocteau Twins played the 2nd of 2 nights at Sun Plaza on their first Japan tour in September 1985. They returned again about a year later and I have to admit I have used pics from both tours in this film. The audiences were both very appreciative and polite. That is why there are long pauses between songs and four minutes of clapping before the encore. I left it all in for effect.
