Based on the press around the release of Liquorice last year, I had a feeling that Hatchie was going to eschew the full North American touring she’d undertaken for her first two records but it’s still a little disappointing that besides a not-even-handful of US shows earlier this year, it looks like she’s staying in Australia for the time being (a couple of UK dates in August aside). Which is totally reasonable, given the cost existing these days, never mind trans-oceanic touring, but still a little disappointing given that she hit Toronto five times in just over five years back in the day, but that was then and this is now.

So I’ll be thankful that despite Seattle being nowhere near Bloomington or Chicago, where she played in April, she still stopped in at long-time supporters KEXP to film a studio session, and that session is now available to watch.
