Though newcomers to the scene – that’s the Thai shoegaze scene, but music in general – with a discography just four songs deep, Bangkok’s Slowwves have already shown themselves to be a name to watch. The bio from their Bandcamp (which has only one track to stream) details their origins as:
Peem (guitar) got to know Jill (vocals) by chance over his friends and listened to a song she wrote. From that moment on, making music together began. Shortly later, Jump (drums) was added, who is also a student at Silpakorn University.

The three-piece has released three tracks in the past six months, and each has been a banger, rich in melancholic atmosphere with yearning vocals from Jill (no surnames provided), and loud, hooky guitars. the latest track released – “SWS” is the best of the bunch so far.
