Los Angeles dreampop trio Soft Blue Shimmer will return with their third album They Will Leave Us With Nothing next year on February 28. The band haven’t offered much about the new record yet, but the album announcement came with the brief comment:

In a year of grief, struggling, and often sudden & uncomfortable change, we’ve been given the unique opportunity to make something close and honest and exciting.

They’ve introduced the new record with a single that shows the band having some fun with drum machines (immense respect to drummer Kenzo Cardenas if he’s actually playing those beats live) and giving Meredith Ramond’s cozy vocals an extra bit of bounce. And of course, there’s the mandatory video filled with dirt bikes, dune buggies, and race cars.
