And following last night’s Hitsujibungaku show in Los Angeles, we’ve got more Asiangaze as a chaser with Hong Kongers Lucid Express at The Echo – practically the same venue as yesterday. This trip was nothing if not efficient.

“Wellwave” was the debut single from their 2021 self-titled album, which they’re certainly due to follow up. They talked about the song in an interview with Bandwagon Asia back in 2021:

Tell us more about your debut single ‘Wellwave’.

Kim: It’s actually about how we view music and how we deal with it as musicians, like a rigid tendency on creating our music.

Andy: We wrote the song ‘Wellwave’ three years ago. In the song, we modified the original sound of the guitar from the sample to make it feel like a sidechain compression, which we have never tried before.
