Though they didn’t seem to make much of a splash in their three-album run, Italian outfit Be Forest are one of my go-tos when I’m in the mood for some icy yet lush post-punk beyond the usual suspects. Specifically, their last album, 2019’s Knockturne, which just knows where to set the flangers and reverbs to give me that dopamine hit.

“Gemini” was one of the singles from the record, accompanied by a barely-there kaleidoscope-mirror video. For better visuals, check out the live performance of the song from June 2019 in Finale Emilia, Italy, in particular the drumming which inspired the drum cover video below.
