Venetian shoegazers Glazyhaze have returned with their first new song of the year, described as “a rock song with a pop heart, suspended between the warmth of the night and the quiet intimacy of early morning light”. The song arrived last week mostly without comment, so it’s not clear if it’s a one-off or the start of a new cycle of something; their last new song “Romeo” arrived at the end of last year with its origins in the SONIC sessions clearly indicated. Can we expect another album so soon after the last one? Or is just timed to drum up interest in their European tour starting in a few weeks? Possibly probably.
