With shoegaze OGs Chapterhouse putting out an exhaustive box set today in Chronology, I thought it only fitting to dig up one of their old videos, but I already did my favourite of theirs last year so I was stuck trying to decide between either of the other videos from Whirlpool – the languid jangler “Mesmerise” or the baggy-gaze of “Falling Down”. They’re both so utterly 1991, from the production to the visuals, that I couldn’t decide so hey – it’s a box set, let’s do both.
