This is the live music week I’ve been looking forward to the most all year, with three straight nights of J-rock coming to town to kick my ass, and so I’m preparing for it the only way I know how – by blogging.

It starts off tomorrow night with Mass Of The Fermenting Dregs hitting The Phoenix for what will probably be my last-ever show at the venue. The band is touring their 2022 album Awakening:Sleeping through North America for the second time in a year, though their routing this year is much more thorough than last year’s. That saw them cross the continent for fourteen shows – though skipping Toronto – and wrapping with a two-night stand at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere. The second night, and final show of the tour, was recorded professionally and is available to enjoy below – needless to say, I’m super-excited for the gig.
