Hatchie – “Sage”

Hatchie – “Sage”

Somehow lost in the rollout of Hatchie’s third album Liquorice last month was that, following what had been a pretty conventional rollout of singles/videos leading up the record’s street date – “Lose It Again” in September, “Only One Laughing” in October – there was a big ol’ video dump on release day, consisting of an official video for “Sage” and eight “official visualisers” for the remaining tracks on the album. What was the difference? Well, it would seem the visualizers only used a single camera/take for the clips of Harriette Pilbeam hanging out in various locales with her album as soundtrack, and the video had multiple cameras and cuts. But I guess the important thing is you can now watch the entire album front to back, not just listen.

I missed out on the new videos/visualizers because I was too busy rounding up all the interviews/features with Pillbeam, some of which I was sharing on socials but have rounded up here for serial clicking.
