Last week, Warpaint rolled out another video from Radiate Like This – a strange and compelling clip summed by by director Jim Hosking thusly:

’Hips’ has a scuttling intensity to it. It sounds like someone desperately trying to find something. Or at least that’s what it seemed to me. I listened to it repeatedly and kept seeing women desperately searching for each other in a seaside town. Ideas present themselves and it’s not about logic or reason, it’s about emotion. And here the emotion suggested identically dressed women finding each other in an old seaside town in England called Southend On Sea.

I confess I don’t watch a lot of music videos start to finish, or if I do they’re one of a few windows competing for my attention. This one, however, demands you pay attention with just the right amount of “WTF”.
