Ghosts of Christmas Past is a seasonal compilation from Belgian label Les Disques du Crepuscule that collected seasonal songs from an assortment of European indie acts such as Aztec Camera and Cabaret Voltaire. It was initially released in 1981, and then subsequently reissued over the years with slightly modified track lists over the years. The 2017 edition was the last (to date) and featured a massively expanded collection of songs, including this one from Greek synth-pop duo Marsheaux, whom I’d never heard of before a few nights ago, But after coming across this song while looking for something else, well, this had to happen. Beyond the New Order-referencing of the title, the song is entirely made of New Order lyrics and is a bop. And festive!
