Spooky season might be over – I’m pulling the fake tombstones and zombie arms out of my lawn today – but it’s always a good time for a live Cure set, particularly when it’s an hour of BBC-shot multi-cam footage. This comes from the August 1984 stop at Barrowland in Glasgow, Scotland while touring The Top, and was originally broadcast on BBC2’s Rock Around the Clock program.

Because of the high quality of the broadcast, the audio was released in October of that year as Concert, the band’s first official live recording but for reasons the video footage wasn’t given a commercial release. Naturally, it was bootlegged heavily, but got a second official airing in November 2024 on BBC2 and BBC4 – that’s where this very clean digital rip comes from.
